Museum hosts garden concert

The popular Bold as Brass programme draws to a close this Bank Holiday weekend when Erewash Museum hosts the Rolls Royce (Derby) Band for a concert in its gardens on Saturday 26 August.
Brass music fans should take along chairs for the performance, which starts at 2pm. Refreshments will be available in the Old Stable Tea Rooms during the concert.
In the event of bad weather, the concert will be held in nearby St Mary’s Church in Ilkeston Market Place.
Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:
“What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than with family and friends while listening to popular brass tunes at our award winning Museum. Here’s hoping the weather holds out!”
Erewash Museum is in Ilkeston town centre, a short walk from the Market Place. Opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm, and Monday to Saturday during school holidays.  Admission is free.
